The Vintage Advance AV2S offers a new slant on a classically-styled single cutaway guitar, featuring a 'high access' bolt-on, satin finished maple neck with 22 fret Indian rosewood fingerboard. The unique Bubinga heel extension provides enhanced mechanical coupling between the neck and body, producing increased sustain and definition. The subtly offset body is constructed from acoustically chambered American alder, giving extra depth and breadth to the resonance and additional personality to the tone. Through-body stringing and an intonation-compensated 3-saddle Wilkinson WTB bridge deliver all the string response associated with this style of instrument. AV2SGB and AV2SSB deliver optimum playability. Both versions feature a Wilkinson WVC humbucking pickup in the neck position which can be rolled back to single coil mode using the Vintage 'Roll Control'. Combining this feature with the 'Vintage voiced' Wilkinson WVOB alnico V bridge pickup delivers a terrifically versatile 'country to rock' style guitar, with some real tone in its twang.
