The HomeBrew Electronics Doomsday Device Distortion was born when Exodus guitarist and founding member Gary Holt met up with the electronic wizards at HomeBrew. Gary’s desire was to have two completely different diode distortions available in one pedal and selectable via footswitch. HomeBrew electronics hit a homerun with this new Doomsday Device Distortion.

The HomeBrew Electronics Doomsday Device Distortion is based on the HBE Power Screamer but gain and output were increased and the tone control was completely redesigned. The knobs are for Gain, Level and Tone. The true bypass footswitches control the two distortion settings. Two mini toggles allow additional boost and the ability to switch diodes between a classic sound and a more outrageous metal tone.
