Thanks to everyone who came out to see the MICHAEL ANGELO BATIO clinic - what an inspiring performance and entertaining show he put on! A quick re-cap is below! We have uploaded Photos of the Clinic as well as the Meet and Greet to our Facebook Page so check it out and "LIKE" the page to see if your face appears in any of the photos!! "Like" our Facebook Page for future updates of events like this!! A Special Thanks to Matt Buckner (Armadillo Enterprizes USA) the International Sales Manager for Dean Guitars and Michael Pappas (National Music) from the Australian Dean Guitars Distributor for helping with the event. So where do we start? What an amazing and inspiring clinic we all witnessed!! Even if you didn't like "shred" you would have walked away from the clinic feeling inspired to play and thoroughly entertained! Over 100 people entered into Pony Music's Live Studio room which had been setup for the event with an awesome sounding PA System and stage for MAB. At the back of the stage stood 2 x DIME Amps, and a couple of Dean guitars adorned the stage. No-one really knew what to expect when MAB hit the stage - then 'BANG' we were all met with a personality that had us all guessing, enthralled and highly entertained. As soon as MAB picked up the guitar and hit the first song we knew we were in for a treat - from sweeping solos to engaging melodies and harmonies he was flawless in execution all throughout the 'tributes' to the artists that inspired him as well as his own material. MAB played through a number of his Signature Guitars and explained their significance - everything he played on the night except for the Custom Double Neck guitar were straight off the shop floor at Pony Music. We were then all blown away with the Double Neck Guitar and the clinic finished in a blaze of notes. MAB had performed for an hour and half and after a quick break MAB returned for the Meet and Greet and happily chatted, posed for photos and signed posters and guitars until everyone wassatisfied or had to go home for a lie down to contemplate what they had just witnessed! For those who were asking - here are the models MAB played during the clinic:MAB2 Aviator - We have ONE of these available only! Dean Dimebonics - this is the guitar MAB discussed during the show. DIME 100w Head and Quadbox - yes it's Solid State but it packs a punch with Tone to spare! These have a RRP of only $1499 as a stack!
MAB uses 2 x DIME 100w Half-Stack Amps - one for each half of his Double Guitar. Most of the night it would have been just ONE of these amps passing guitar signal! MAB's pedals consisted of a T-Rex MAB signature Overdrive and a T-Rex Delay per amp and uses the DIME channel footswitch to mute the amps.
The Cabs were mic'ed with one Dynamic microphone for the Live Sound and one Studio Mic fed into our Recording Studio to be synced to video.Video Footage will be online shortly once we have compiled and edited the Video and Audio - We recorded the Audio in our Recording Studio control room on the night to sync with the video cameras! THANKS FOR COMING AND MAKING THE CLINIC A SUCCESS!! WE HOPE THERE WILL BE MANY MORE LIKE THIS TO COME!
