| Eye Of The Enemy |
![]() BIOPSY Things that do not progress, die!! We are not dead, nor dying and we are not playing prog. But we are ever changing, forever growing and always looking for the chance to take on something bigger, something that will instill our name in the hearts of the metal loving community and have it on the tips of tongues of the wider population. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.. But to understand the band as a whole you should know a bit about its parts: With a picking hand that’ll melt strings and a strong penchant for melody, chris kane is one of the founding members. Looking to start something new, something with power, aggression, groove and a strong sense of melody he teamed up with the notorious Julz. If any mere mortal could on will, summon the anger that Julz delivers with every scream. The human race would be a memory fading from time. Team that with his ability for powerful melodies that will haunt you for days. You have a snap shot of what the voice of the band can deliver. Finding a second guitarist to fill in the void would be no easy task, enter Sean Blanchard. At only 18 this axe wielding young-gun has consistently shocked the general metal community with his tech laden riffs and tasteful solos. (Don’t believe us?… check the last half of Theocracy.) Combining his left hand prowess with the sheer power of chris’ right hand, these two are a force to be reckoned with. With the starting core firmly in place they recruited Taran (Moredhel) on drums and Geno on bass guitar to complete the line up in late ’05. April 06 bought on the recording of a 3 track demo. This saw Eye of the Enemy burst onto the live scene shortly after, to a few well received shows. August ’06 saw the departure of Taran. A strapping young lad from the middle of nowhere (Alice springs) soon found comfort on the drummers throne. Troy’s lust for powerful double kick laden grooves complimented the lineup well and saw the band take on a more powerful and focused direction. Another recent lineup change has seen geno leave a hole in the low end, bringing us to our next character. Although little is known about the newcomer, it is rumored Jamie can kill a man with the sheer power of his bass lines.. Dare to try it at our next gig. With the parts in place the entity somehow becomes something much greater, more powerful and a force to be reckoned with. With an Ep recorded between December 06 and september 07, awaiting the final touches of artwork, a once again complete lineup and a hunger for destruction, be sure to catch Eye of the Enemy at an upcoming show and stay tuned for release details of the E.P.
